FAQ
Common Questions
How long until medication works?
Most antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications take 2–6 weeks to reach full effect. ADHD stimulants often work the same day. Your provider will set expectations based on your specific medication and check in regularly during the adjustment period.
Will I need to be on medication forever?
Not necessarily. Some people use medication short-term to stabilize, then taper off as therapy builds lasting coping skills. Others find long-term management most effective. Your provider will discuss your options at every stage.
Can you take over my care if I have an existing prescriber?
Yes. We can receive records from your current provider and continue your medication management with a smooth transition.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
Yes, where clinically appropriate and after a thorough evaluation. This includes stimulants for ADHD and other controlled medications on a case-by-case basis.
